takashi murakami

The materials it looks like he is using are spray paint, very colorful paint, gold leafs, maybe some drawing pencils. His work is 2D paintings, but he does have some 3D sculptures as well.

  • What emotions or feelings do you get from looking at their work?

His work is very colorful and happy whimsicule, and very cartoon-like. I love how there is so much to look at and your eyes don’t get bored finding all the little details you don’t see at first. He has very eye-catching paintings.

  • How does their mark-making or use of line in their work evoke that feeling?

All of the line work is very detailed and well thought out you can tell he takes his time with every line he makes cause in the end his art is insane
