Food Science & Technology

The Ohio State University Food Science & Technology Graduate Program

Students may study food chemistry, food safety and microbiology, sensory science, functional foods for health, food safety engineering, advanced food processing technologies and food packaging. A $17 million food science building was completed in 2002 and we have well equipped laboratories and three pilot plants for meat, dairy, and fruit and vegetable processing. Our students benefit from the strong connection we have to the food industry as well the opportunities to learn from and collaborate with a team of faculty who represent a diverse range of research interests.
