  • N2200: Art of Professional Nursing I- An introduction to professional nursing emphasizing personal, ethical and aesthetic concepts for evidence-informed decision-making.

  • N2201: Art of Professional Nursing II- Application of professional nursing emphasizing personal, ethical and aesthetic concepts for evidence-informed decision-making to include person-centered, interprofessional, and population-focused care.
    • Prereq: 2200, and enrollment in BSN traditional program; or permission of instructor.
  • N2271: Foundational Knowledge for Nursing Practice I- The foundational concepts of professional nurse role with emphasis on nursing’s distinct practice perspectives in the provision of nursing care across the lifespan and care settings.
    • Prereq: Enrollment in BSN traditional program.
  • N2272: Foundational Knowledge for Nursing Practice II- This course is designed to build upon the knowledge, skills and attitudes acquired in Foundational Knowledge for Nursing Practice I, with a continued emphasis on nursing’s distinct practice perspective.

  • N2451: Nursing Pathophysiology & Pharmacology I- Study of introductory concepts in pathophysiology and pharmacology as a scientific foundation for nursing practice.
    • Prereq: Enrollment in BSN traditional program, or permission of instructor.
  • N2452: Nursing Pathophysiology and Pharmacology II- Study of applied concepts in pathophysiology and pharmacology as a scientific foundation for nursing practice.

  • N2500: Introduction to Social Justice & Health Policy- This course is a basic overview of health policy, health care systems and the determinants of health and the effects of the health of populations.

  • N2782: Foundational Principles of EBP and Nursing Science- Introduction to and application of foundational concepts, skills and competencies of evidence-based practice (EBP), to support implementation to improve practice and outcomes. Includes overview of research methodologies, concepts and ethics to build critical appraisal skills.

  • N4241: Synthesis of Determinants of Health to Address Population Health Outcomes- This course provides an opportunity for students to synthesize the concepts of population health to influence health outcomes.

  • N4310: Science of Wellness and Self-Care- This course is designed to help the student explore evidence-based strategies and resources that enhance wellness and professional growth.

  • N4341: Nursing Clinical Judgement in the Care of Psychiatric & Mental Health Conditions- This course will apply nursing knowledge in the promotion of mental health and recovery of individuals with psychiatric diagnoses and their families.

  • N4401: Innovative Strategies in Leadership and System-based Practices- This course will address leadership and management concepts as applied to nursing practice and system-based approaches in a variety of healthcare settings.

  • N4402: Synthesis of Nursing Practice and Patient Care in Complex Healthcare Systems- This course will address transition to professional nursing in the last year of the nursing program.

  • N4520: Utilization of Information and Healthcare Technologies to Drive Decision Making in Nursing- This course will provide a synthesis of informatics processes and technologies that are used to manage and improve the delivery of safe, high-quality, and efficient healthcare services in accordance with best practice and professional and regulatory standards.

  • N4590: Practicum for the Utilization of Nursing Clinical Judgement- The transition to professional nursing practice integrates a full practicum experience in the last year of the nursing program.
