Hello All!
My name is Evan Zamot and I am a graduate student in the Master’s of Translational Pharmacology at The Ohio State University. I designed this blog site to cover topics that were instructed throughout the course PHR 7588: Toxic Substances. While the subject matter covers toxicology, categories are not limited to involving environmental toxicology, occupational toxicology, and biological containments of animal and botanical organisms. This blogsite will give a general understanding of how harmful substances can be toxic to human physiology and possible treatment methods. The four categories I have chosen to discuss in the blog are:
- Pesticides Blog Post: Anticoagulants
- Metal Toxicology Blog Post: Cadmium
- Solvent Blog Post: Trichloroethylene
- Animal Blog Post: Tularemia and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever
I decided to align my choices with personal interest and learning new concepts about toxicology surrounding the manufacturing of goods and an arthropod as my animal blog post that was domestic to my location. I hope the information serves as a source and guide to toxic substances that might come of interest to you.
