NLN’s Revised Hallmark of Excellence
In November, the National League for Nursing (NLN) published an updated version of their Hallmarks of Excellence, a list of 30 characteristics of excellent nursing programs. Are you looking for ideas to engage students in active learning in your classroom? Read the indicators of excellence under Hallmark 1, “Engaged Students.” Looking for a definition or examples of “innovation” in education? Read Hallmark 4, “Innovative, Evidence-Based Curriculum.” Wondering what your potential role in the scholarship of teaching and learning is as a faculty member? Consider Hallmark 7, “Commitment to Pedagogical Scholarship.” Please contact the TIES Academy if you would like to discuss any of the Hallmarks of Excellence mentioned above in more detail.
