September TIES Writing Gathering

​Welcome to a new year at The Ohio State University College of Nursing, Fall 2019.  As we begin our year, let’s think about a publication!  On Wednesday, September 11 (1-2 p.m., Room 380), we will hold our first Writing Gathering of the autumn semester.   Our September session, “How to Get Started,” will begin with a process to help you identify things you already do in your teaching  practice that others should also know, strategies for creating the foundations of a manuscript, and the importance of identifying a journal even before you write the first word.  Faculty are busy at home and at work, so we understand that writing for publication can seem overwhelming and stressful.  We will talk about ways to make writing a regular part of your week and a task that is productive and creative, not overwhelming and stressful.  All you need to bring with you to the session on September 11 is an open mind.  You don’t need a paper in the works or anything else . . . just a glimpse of the intention to publish!
