fullsizerender-3 On June 26, 2015 at the Tsongas center in Massachusetts, I attended The Congress of Future Medical Leaders through the National Academy for Math and Sciences. This once in a lifetime experience was a span of three days starting at 8 am and ending around 12 am. There were world renown speakers such as: a Nobel Prize winner, The cast of the documentary Code Black, and Bo Eason. Other speakers included medical school deans, motivational speakers, and other scientists. Not only did the delegates, the students who were invited, get to watch Code Black, but also a live surgery. It was a Cardiothoracic  surgery focusing on the lungs to detect cancer. The whole experience was an incredible opportunity and through the event I was inducted into The Torch and Laurel Society.
