Shoe Lace prototype
This shoe lace holder design is created so that you can tighten the laces of your shoes one handed. The idea is that you can pull up the crossing point of the laces then flip the ends over to the magnets to keep them tied.
I believe future editions could be made much smaller with stronger magnets or kept at the same size to be made more fashionable. This idea also requires the appropriate length laces, but can be used with any laced shoes as they are not permanently affixed to the shoe.

Mega Fresh Teeth & Stuff 5200
Brushing your teeth with one arm is actually quite a difficult task to complete. Putting the paste on the brush is very difficult and failing at such a simple task is very demoralizing. This brush allows the user to easily brush their teeth and accomplish one of their past simple task and make life a little easier to someone who has a much harder life ahead of them. It pumps out paste directly to the brush and has a refillable reservoir that doubles as a highly ergonomic group.

Mouthguard Fingernail Trimmers
The mouthguard fingernail trimmer is designed to help people with one hand to quickly and efficiently trim their nails. It is nearly impossible to operate traditional fingernail trimmers using only one hand. The mouthguard fingernail trimmer is simply a mouthpiece molded to fingernail clippers, which is operated by inserting the mouthpiece and opening and closing your jaw to open and close the nail clippers. The mouthguard also includes a pocket in between the mouthguard and nail clipper segments to catch the nail trimmings and keep the trimming away from the users mouth. Overall, this is a very simple design that will allow users with one hand to trim their nails more efficiently than any other nail trimming device on the market.
I believe that this device in updated forms could be a fully functional device and eventually hit store shelves. In the final versions there would be much sturdier materials used that would help to reduce the resistance between the mouthguard and nail clippers, which was a problem I ran into with the prototype. Ultimately, I do not feel that this product will have enough of a need or acceptance within our target market, but that will be a future constraint that would be handled. I have enjoyed working through the design process building this prototype and just slowly watching my design improve and come to life throughout the project.

Nail Polish Gizmo
The Nail Polish Gizmo is designed to allow for the most efficient, pain-free, and waste free process of allowing individuals with one hand to wear and apply nail polish on a daily basis. Attempting to apply nail polish with one hand in a “traditional” manner involves a lot of painful stretching and a potential waste of nail polish as you struggle to apply nail polish on the same hand that you are carrying a brush in. The Nail Polish Gizmo is designed to resolve these concerns in one device. The apparatus sticks to a surface by way of a suction cup to prevent it from moving when manipulating the brush or nail polish container attached to it. The nail polish container attached to the apparatus is made of plastic and has a screw on lid, allowing users to refill and empty the container as they please. The vertical portion of the apparatus includes a velcro strip that a nail polish brush can attach to and be removed from. The goal is to be able to dip this smaller brush into the container below it and stick it to the the vertical portion of the apparatus, where a user can then stroke each of their nails against the brush to apply nail polish.
