Upcoming Mandatory Floor Meeting

RA Michael and RA Grace will be holding a mandatory floor meeting on December 6th at 6:30 pm in the Houck lobby. This meeting will discuss how to prepare your room for break, closing procedures, and additional items. Food and treats will be provided at the meeting. Safety and Security Highlight - Lyft Ride Smart

Lyft Ride Smart at Ohio State offers eligible students discounted rides, inside the university-designated service area(opens in new window), and has expanded service to the Short North area along High Street. Service runs from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Prices may be impacted by distance, traffic, time of day, special events and prime time surcharges.

Upcoming Event: Light Up the Lake - December 2nd, 2022 at 6:30pm

Light up the Lake is a signature event for students that celebrates the season and brightens the Mirror Lake District during wintertime. Since 2019, The Ohio State University Alumni Association has partnered with Ohio Staters, Inc. to offer this special event.

Ohio State Fun Fact

Did you know? Ohio Stadium was built on top of the original Ohio State Airport. Biplane takes off over the Ohio State Airfield, where the Ohio Stadium was later built. Planes would be rolled down the hill to the field just east of the Olentangy River, where flight tests and training would ensue. This arrangement was short-lived, with the opening of Ohio Stadium in 1922. Shortly thereafter, the university built a second airport on East Broad Street “near the country club,” while also using other local airports such as Sullivant Field on Neil Avenue.
