Welcome to Ripples and Reflections, a blog written by Laura Stanton. Laura is the Family and Consumer Sciences Educator for Ohio State University Extension in Warren County.
OSU Extension and Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) programming focuses on the delivery of high-quality, research-based educational programs. The major program areas are Healthy People, Healthy Finances, and Healthy Relationships. The goal is to help Ohioans stay healthy throughout the life cycle and the different stages of family life.
For the past 20 years, Laura Stanton (she/her) has worked as a professional family life educator in many different social service agencies and non-profit organizations. Her teaching focuses on all aspects of human development and family life, but she is particularly passionate about parenting, family dynamics, mental health, wellness, nature, cultural diversity, and inclusion.
Laura lives in Lebanon, OH with her husband, two teenagers, and a menagerie of family pets. In her free time, Laura enjoys gardening, reading, birding, hiking, taking pictures, and exploring the great outdoors.
