My name is Rebecca Southward-Crane. I am a 6th grade intervention specialist at Teays Valley East Middle School in Pickaway County. The students on IEPs are fully included in the regular education setting at Teays Valley, so I follow my students to each of their academic classes. While it has its challenging days, I love my students and all the things I am able to learn from them.
My experience and passion with technology include becoming a Certified Google trainer in 2011. I enjoy helping my colleagues problem solve technology issues and suggesting new and exciting ways to incorporate technology into their lessons. I also have a passion for creating videos for our school activities, graduations, and weddings.
My future aspirations are to teach Career Connections classes so that I can use my Master’s in School Counseling to help students plan their futures as well as my future Master’s in Learning Technologies to learn valuable technology skills. I am also interested in becoming a technology coach so that I may better prepare teachers and students on how to effectively use technology in their classes.
