Reading Day Activities

The logo for Reading Day

Finals can be stressful and slightly overwhelming but one of the things I look forward to during finals (besides winter break) is Reading Day! Here at the Ohio Union, Reading Day is an entire day dedicated to providing free activities to students to relieve stress in the wake of exam preparation. Need a quiet place to study? How about a snack to refuel you for a little more studying? The Ohio Union can help you with all that and more during Reading Day! Check out some of the great activities planned below.

OUABreakfast: 8-10 a.m. in the East Ballroom

Start your day off right by enjoying a hot breakfast, coffee, and tea with OUAB. Food will be available while supplies last.

OUABreakfast will have food available to students in the Union.

Let’s Talk: 9-5 p.m. in the Milestones Room

Stop by for an informal one-on-one consultation with a Counseling and Consultation Services therapist. There is no appointment needed and no paperwork required. Come and gain new insight, solutions and resources for any problems you may be experiencing. Have a problem? Let’s Talk.

Reading Day Lunch Break: 12-1 p.m. in the East Ballroom

Take a lunch break and refuel. Food will be available while supplies last.

Pause for Paws: 1-4 p.m. in the Creative Arts Room

Need a little puppy love in your life, even if it’s just for a couple of hours? Come put a smile on your face with the very adorable and friendly therapy dogs.

Evening Break with the Student Life Multicultural Center: 6-8 p.m. in the Great Hall Meeting Rooms 1&2

Join the Student Life Multicultural Center for tasty samosas, intricate henna designs and a beautiful Odissi performance.

Flicks for Free: 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the U.S Bank Conference Theater

OUAB will be showing Trainwreck starting at 6 p.m. with an encore showing at 8:30 p.m. The movie is FREE and OUAB will also be providing FREE popcorn and drinks. Please note that BuckID admits 2 people so grab a friend, some popcorn and kick back and relax.
