Registration for Pelotonia 2015 opens on January 28th!
Pelotonia, now in its 7th year, is a three-day bike ride August 7-9 around central Ohio with their fundraising efforts going to support cancer research at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center- Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute. 100% of all funds raised by riders, virtual riders or volunteers goes directly to the James.
Cancer knows no boundaries. In today’s world, there is hardly a person who can say that they have not personally been touched by cancer in some way. It is important for everyone to do his or her part in helping fight cancer, so that one day we can live in a cancer-free world.
There are many ways options to ride, volunteer or donate to this great cause. Team Buckeye is the official Ohio State peloton and serves as a great support for all Buckeye riders. You can check out their website here: http://teambuckeye.osu.edu/
The Office of Student Life also has their own peloton. Last year, they had eleven riders and thirteen virtual riders from twelve different Student Life departments participate in Pelotonia. Together, they rode over 800 miles during Pelotonia weekend and raised $19, 927.

This year, the Office of Student Life would like to build on the success of this year’s team with a representation from all fifty-two Student Life departments for Pelotonia 2015. The best part about the ride is that anyone can do it. You do not have to be a cyclist or even really know how to bike. Everyone is there for One Goal: End Cancer.
