Have you heard? It’s Wellness Wednesday in the Ohio Union!

The Keith B. Key Center for Student Leadership and Service (located on the 2nd Floor of the Ohio Union) has teamed up with the Student Life Student Wellness Center to bring to you Wellness Wednesday! The idea of Wellness Wednesdays came with the realization that many Ohio State students, while exceptional leaders and phenomenal beings, struggle with effectively balancing their collegiate lives.

Held on Wednesday’s throughout Autumn semester one different dimension of wellness will be highlighted through programming held in the Keith B. Key Center (KBK).  From free snacks to interactive activities, the KBK team has developed creative and fun ways to educate students about the importance of the featured dimension. “Our hope is to serve as encouragement to make time for balance, and to give resources on how to do just that!” states Chasmine Anderson, Student Activities Intern.

The highlighted dimension of the week is Physical Wellness. How many of you really know all that factors that play into your physical wellness? It’s more than exercising and eating healthy food…. sleep is a factor too! Come by the KBK Center today to create your own Rez Hall Remix snack mix, gather tips on how to get the best sleep, and join in head-to-head exercise competitions for some amazing prizes. You will also be able to gain information on how to improve your physical well-being by finding out the healthiest foods on campus, why it’s important to get the best sleep and how to get 150 minutes of exercise a week by utilizing resources presented through our recreational facilities.
