Curriculum and Assessment:
Prof. Jibril Mohamed created new graduate and undergraduate courses at the Ohio State University. He also served as a Target Language Expert for various institutions including University of Maryland and University of Illinois. He maintains an archive of rare Somali curriculum textbooks at the Ohio State University.
Jibril Mohamed completed the 4-day OPI assessment training with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). He also completed the weeklong standard setting workshops for the Defense Language Proficiency Test. He conducted Somali language assessments using various Language Assessment Scales including the OPI, ILR and DLPT.
