Hi, my name is Mikaela Sellers, and I’m currently a Computer Science pre-major at The Ohio State University. I spent the past two years working hard at my job as a party hostess at Swings N Things. Now that I’m away at school I devote my time to volunteering in Humanitarian Engineering Scholars and going to my local recreation center. I’ve always had an interest in creating something art related as well as using STEM to make it possible. Because of this, while I’m at The Ohio State University I hope to achieve my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science as well as pursue a potential minor and video game design. During my time pursuing my degree, I hope to spend time exploring OSU and the city of Columbus, meeting new people, having new experiences, and becoming the best version of me I can be. My overall current aspirations are to graduate college in four years with a specialization and video game design and either join a company to develop a game or become my own developer. Although I look forward and are unsure of my future, I want to make these next four years the most exciting time of my life.

- I connect to my top strength Input for it’s described as wanting to know more. I personally love to gather information on various things I’m interested in be it a game, a job, or even a person/group.
- Restorative
- My strength Restorative describes me because when I have a problem I am able to work out what’s wrong and begin to fix it. I usually do this by talking through it in my head and coming up with a solution.
- Empathy
- This strength surprised me entirely. I did not expect to be found empathetic, yet I most likely connected to this strength by being able to know if a person is upset and needs time to themselves.
- Achiever
- I connected with Achiever through my strong work ethic and determination to complete assignments. I refuse to skip an assignment because it feels wrong to me, and I also love the stress of working on hard homework because of the relief of finishing it.
- Responsibility
- The strength of Responsibility resonates with me because of my strong values of honesty and loyalty. In addition, if I am put in charge of something I am committed to making sure it all works out well.
