How long is the course?
The Master Gardener Volunteer programs involves an intense training course. The 50 hours training course lasts 10 weeks and typicalls runs March through May. All classes are held at Secrest Arboretum.

What do I do after the course?
Upon completion of the training volunteers must earn 50 hours of volunteer service within the 18 months of after training in order to become a Master Gardener Volunteer. We will help you find a volunteer role. After earning 50 hours of service, you must earn 20 hours of volunteer service and 10 hours of continuing education each subsequent year in order to maintain the certification.
