FIRST TRIES
This is the very first Photoshop projects I tried. I did this in class by finding a picture of a cat and a picture of a beach. I cut the cat out and just added in another background. It looks dumb, but I was just playing.

CHANGING THE BACKGROUNDS
This is my daughter during cheer season. I decided that I wanted the background to be more exciting, so I cut her out and added this background of an iron guider high in the air. I had to center her and then flatten the image. That gave me this cool picture! I was actually really excited about this. It took me quite a while to do!
Below is another one that I did replacing the background. I wanted to get a nice picture of my family. So I started with this picture that was taken on Easter morning about 5 years ago. But again, the background is sooo boring. So I added a picture of Graceland (Elvis’ home in Memphis, TN) in the background. We have visited there, but not in this picture. I had a great deal of trouble shrinking us to fit. I actually had to make the canvas size bigger and then import the background, and then place us on top. So I did not really shrink us, I made the background bigger.

ADDING TEXT
The next thing I wanted to try was putting words on top of the photo. It was easy to get the words on and then I shaped them. The problem that I had was that the letters would blink. Don’t have a clue what I was doing wrong , until made a new layer and I tried again. That time it worked, so I guess I would always suggest layers.

CROPPING & FILTERING
For the next project, I had a picture that was very bright. I cropped the picture a bit to get rid of the sides of the picture and to make the image more of a square. I changed the contrast, brightness and exposure to help take off the glare. I also added a warm filter to it to warm up the background and pup.

RETOUCHING & CROPPING
For the next project I wanted to do some retouching. I found beautiful picture of the moon in the night sky, but it was marred by a plane being it it right next to the moon. I used the band aid tool to just replace those bits with the rest of the sky and you can’t even tell there was ever a plane there. I also cropped it for a more Rule of 3 pov.

STRAIGHTENING
For my last project I wanted to do try straightening, but I had nothing that was very crooked. I went on line to find the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. I used the measuring tool to get my angel, but found that I did not think it looked completely straight, so I bumped up the angel a bit to make it look straighter.
