Year in Review

At the beginning of my Health Science Scholar time as a freshman, I was a typical “pre-med,” biology student who wanted to be a Doctor. This was because I truly didn’t know what exactly I wanted to do, and thought I should just listen to my parents who wanted me to be a Doctor. Then I realized that isn’t what I wanted to do in life. So, after exploring my interests and aspirations, I found that I actually wanted to become a Mechanical Engineer. I knew going into college that I was really unsure of what I wanted to be. This is why my expectations were only to find something that makes me really happy, and I truly believe that I have found that. My new pre-mechanical engineering path is so much better than my old path of trying to be that classic “pre-med” student. For the remainder of my experience here at The Ohio State University, I plan to continue on my path to become a Mechanical Engineer with a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Also, my plan is to continue to guide and lead my club which goes hand in hand with my major and life aspirations. In addition to this, my plan also includes me finding an internship which will help my financially, until I can land a full time position at some job after graduation. While I work for this to develop, I plan to start looking at preparing business plans to open my own business and create my own product through my knowledge as an Engineer. One of my O.S.U. bucket-list goals is to create my own product.
