Second Language Research Forum research presentation

The Ohio State University hosted this year’s Second Language Research Forum (SLRF 2017). I did two presentations, with my doctoral students from UTSA Lina Martin-Corredor, and a panel on social class and language learning organized by another UTSA colleague, Dr. Becky Huang.

Keynote speaker: VI Seminario Permanente de Lingüística Aplicada y III Foro de Resistencia Lingüística

My keynote talk was “The Hidden Curriculum of Work in the Primary English Program in Mexico: Neoliberalism and L2 Pedagogy.” Normally, this would be a radical idea, but the event was called the Forum of Linguistic Resistance after all, so it fit right in! Also a great honor to be on a panel with Ryuko Kubota.
