Artifacts

This artifact is a sticker I received when I joined the Jewish Learning Fellowship at OSU Hillel. It represents a Hamsa, which is a Jewish symbol, and has the words “Go With Hillel Birthright” on it. This sticker is important to me because Hillel has gave me many opportunities to learn more about myself, my religion, meet new people, and be able to experience Marketing so early on in my college career. Being apart of Hillel’s Marketing Team has allowed me to learn more about the field I hope to experience in the future. My Jewish Learning Fellowship through Hillel has allowed me to reconnect with my religion and meet people also trying to make a Jewish connection at college. For the future, I hope to continue to be so involved in Hillel and experience the things they have to offer.

About Me

Growing up, I never knew exactly what I wanted to be or where I wanted to end up. I am definitely not the type of person that could pick a path and stick with it without some major decision making. This made it difficult when it came time to decide what I wanted to do with my future. Although I had a ton of different influences around me educating me in the medical field and the field of law, I never really could see myself being happy in those jobs in the long term. But what led me to pick marketing was not a specific person but the passions I had. My love for all things food, fashion, and social media made it difficult to find a specialization that would lead me into a job I would enjoy. But instead of viewing the things that made me happy as just activities I did in my free time, I analyzed them at a deeper level which led me to the realization that I was meant to work in the business field. I want to be able to not be stuck in one job in the future, but to have control of where I can end up with my degree. Although I am still developing as a first year student at Ohio State, the spirit my peers have for business as well has reassured me that I made the right decision not only coming to Ohio State, but pursuing marketing.
