About Me

rachel-2015-66

Hey! Welcome to my ePortfolio! Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a Hospitality Management major at The Ohio State University and a member of the ICE Scholars group. My dream is to plan weddings for a living and I hope that ICE will give me the know-how to be able to sell myself and my skills successfully. I am the oldest of three children (one brother, Nolan, and one sister, Clare) and two pets (a dog named Lily and a cat named Alice Juniper or A.J. for short). I have been told by strangers and best friends alike that I’m “such a mom”, but I couldn’t think of a better compliment. Random fact: my dream concert would be a mashup of Taylor Swift and Eminem.

BMCFINAL

Since the beginning of the journey we took with our Business Model Canvas, I would say not much has changed. Because this was a business idea that Daniel had already put into practice before the start of our project, we had a pretty clear vision of where our business was headed. At the start, we came up with the slogan, ‘sustainable, durable and personalized jewelry’ as a way to quickly describe our product to potential customers and that stuck with us throughout the project. The only thing in our BMC that has changed is widening of the variety of potential products we could make. We started out with just the idea to make rings, but after brainstorming and the suggestions of other products from customers, we’ve realized that we could also make and sell items such as napkin rings, keychains and bracelets.

Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more information, go to: http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/e-portfolio.
