About Me

Version 2

Hi, my name is John Parker Robson, and I go by Parker. After growing up in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, my family moved to Ohio prior to my enrollment at Ohio State. While in Virginia I was involved in many different activities; including Shenandoah Valley Governor’s School, National Honor Society, soccer, and youth group. At the Governor’s School, which was a selective high school that top students attended, I engaged in research and data analytics, leading to my decision to major in data analytics. Returning to my home school of Wilson Memorial High School, I served as president of National Honor Society my senior year. On the soccer team at Wilson, I was a member of the varsity soccer team all four years I was eligible, while serving as captain my junior and senior year. Along with playing for my high school, I also played travel soccer. My team was highly successful and even won the Virginia State Cup, which was a tournament of all the best teams in Virginia. We competed all over the east coast from Orlando, Florida to Baltimore, Maryland. I was active in my youth group throughout my high school career and considered myself to be a leader of the group. Perhaps my proudest achievement was maintaining a 4.4 GPA throughout high school while challenging myself in and out of the classroom. Upon entering The Ohio State Honors program, I have plans to major in Data Analytics and minor in Psychology. I look forward to meeting new people, experiencing different ideas and cultures, and of course, attending a few games in the Horseshoe. As I go through college, I hope to continue growing as a leader and person while becoming an active member in the university and society.
