We are excited to welcome you to The Ohio State University. As a new student, there are steps you must take to be able to enroll in courses, receive university emails, and keep up-to-date on your academic progress. Below are instructions on how to begin this process and more information on the technology platforms that you will be using as a student in the College of Nursing.
Activate your OSU Username and Email
OSU’s name.#@osu.edu email address is the primary mechanism for sending official communications to students at OSU. Students must check email regularly to read important messages and notifications. Certain communications may be time sensitive. Failure to read official university communications sent to the students’ official OSU email addresses does not absolve students from knowing and complying with the content of those official communications.
Depending on a student’s role at the university, they may have their name.#@osu.edu email delivered to their university mailbox, their OSUWMC mailbox, or their BuckeyeMail mailbox. This can change as you gain and leave employment with the university. Students can check to where their name.#@osu.edu email is being delivered at https://my.osu.edu.
The university is not responsible for any difficulties that may occur in the proper or timely transmission or access of email. Such problems will not absolve students of their responsibility to know and comply with the content of official communications sent to students’ official Ohio State University email addresses.
More information regarding OSU email can be found in this video. Questions about University email and BuckeyeMail email should be directed to the OTDI help desk at 614-688-HELP. Questions about OSUWMC email should be directed to the OSUWMC help desk at 614-293-HELP.
Other questions regarding technology at the College of Nursing can be sent to our Information Technology team at Con-S-Help@osu.edu.
Computer Hardware and Software Requirements
The College of Nursing IT team has compiled a list of computer hardware and software requirements for students. If you have any questions about the recommendations in the document, or if you need technical support, please contact con–s–help@osu.edu.
Students are expected to have a computer meeting minimum technology requirements in order to participate in classes. You will find the technology requirements linked below in the nursing student technology services site.
Questions regarding technology can be sent to our Information Technology team at Con-S-Help@osu.edu.
