Program Compliance

All RN to BSN students are required to complete all Program Compliance items. If the items below (except the CON Student Entry Survey) are not complete by the first day of your second semester in the program, you will be unenrolled from your nursing courses.

Please visit the College of Nursing Program Compliance page to learn more – scroll down and select your program from the list.

  • Academic Integrity Form: This is due by the first day of classes in your first semester.
  • Background Check – FBI and BCI with fingerprints. The results must be in for us to count this requirement as completed and the process can take up to 6 weeks. Please plan accordingly. No exceptions. Instructions are on the background check instructions page. Additional information is available in this video.
  • HIPAA Training: This will be completed through Buckeyelearn. Instructions can be found on the HIPAA instructions page. It is an online training all students must take in the College of Nursing.
  • RN License: You must have an active, unencumbered RN License before NRSADVN 4240. Students are required to upload a copy of the license and input the license number and expiration date into the Qualtrics survey located on the RN license instructions page.
  • CON Student Entry Survey: Ohio State University receives federal or grant funding based on students’ current or previous status.

You can find your specific Compliance Status and Curriculum plans at the College of Nursing Beacon.
