I am a college freshman majoring in mechanical engineering and am a humanitarian engineering scholar. I hope to either add physics as a double major or a minor. While at Ohio State, I hope to spend time doing undergraduate research while learning more about possible academic interests. In high school I was involved in 13 extracurriculars that covered music, sports, service, religion, and academia. I am originally from Kenton Ohio, a smallish rural town northwest of Columbus. I am excited for all the opportunities at Ohio State as well as all the opportunities in Columbus and I hope that the next four years will be full of adventures.
My Clifton strengths are ideation, restorative, achiever, learner, and command.
Ideation – I relate well to the ideation strength because I am always full of ideas. I also like to seek out new and different experiences which matches with the ideation strength.
Restorative – I often seek challenging problems and I’m invigorated when I see myself forming solutions.
Achiever – I am always setting new goals for myself and pushing myself to go farther in just about everything. I also get very restless if I relax for too long. There always needs to be something to work towards.
Learner – I am always looking to learn more information and I often read about interesting topics outside of class such as ancient civilizations, and quantum mechanics. I also feel attracted to tough and challenging problems which closely matches with the learner strength.
Command – I don’t often take charge, but if I think I have a better vision or if the current leadership is lacking I don’t mind taking charge. I have the initiative and ideas to lead and people who really know me will often look towards me to lead them.
