Cat Mailloux
Mantle is made up of bundles of straw, taken from bales of hay and re-bundled to form a lush carpet. Its form is thick and condensed, expanding into the space of the courtyard, referencing the form of a carpet while being placed in a garden space. The bundles placed next to each other suggest a woven form, a cloth made of threads being carefully intertwined together, but in a state assembly and disassembly.
