About Me

Eric Reinhart is a current freshman at The Ohio State University pursuing a B.S. in Neuroscience and a minor in Music. He was born and raised in North Ridgeville, Ohio, a western suburb of Cleveland. After graduating from St. Ignatius High School located in downtown Cleveland, he has come to Ohio State to fulfill his passions of clinical counseling and to continue his passion for music and the fine arts. As an Eagle Scout in the class of 2013, he has shaped his professional and social development around the core principles of duty to God, duty to self and duty to others.

Eric has a strong desire to enter the medical field. He is currently working along the pre-medical track in hopes to be accepted to medical school. In past experiences, Eric has been involved in the L’Arche community in Cleveland, which tends to the needs of mentally disabled adults. He also took part in an unpaid internship with Dr. Paul Hazen, a very successful dermatologist, who is one of very few dermatologists doing clinical work and research with the uncommon skin disease of Hidradentis Suppurativa (HS). During this internship, Eric helped Dr. Hazen conduct research. The journal article is still pending.

Eric also has a strong desire and passion for the Arts. He gained valuable leadership experience as president of both the band program in high school and the St. Ignatius High School Circus Company. He has taken great pride in the original compositions and arrangements of famous music he has written, about five total. He has also been a part of community theater productions of famous musicals and sings often. He continues this passion today and hopes to incorporate it into his professional career.
