
Dr. Cody Mansfield (PhD Student)
Dr. Cody Mansfield is a physical therapist in the Sports Medicine department of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and a PhD student in the School of Health Rehabilitation Sciences.
- Cody received his Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from Chapman University and graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Duke University.
- His physical therapy career began at OSU Sports Med as an orthoapedic physical therapy resident in 2014, and he was the first fellow in training in the OSU orthopaedic manual physical therapy fellowship in 2017. He currently practices physical therapy at our outpatient Gahanna facility with a focus of treating spine conditions and soccer athletes.
- His PhD training is focused on understanding the neurophysiological effects (i.e. fMRI, strength, movement, outcomes) of physical therapy interventions such as exercise and dry needling.

This project was Zaki Afzal’s OMPT fellowship project and Cody, Matt and Jake mentored him through the process.
