Reflection on Design

Design is an important way of life that can express and communicate feelings, thoughts, ideas, and emotions through visual components. As Gabby grew up, she found herself interested in design and fashion. She would lock herself in her bedroom to constantly rearrange the location of her bed, dresser, desk, etc. Gabby would daydream about her dream home and how she could design it to her specific taste. She would spend countless hours on Pinterest, creating a plan for her future home and how to incorporate different styles into her life. Originally, Gabby thought the design aspect in her life would be a hobby because her parents always wanted her to be a doctor, dentist, or lawyer. But, Gabby wanted design to be a bigger portion of her life and not just a hobby. Gabby wanted her career to be based around design and how she could help others express their thoughts in a creative way. Gabby loves to focus on the way different room designs/colors/layouts can influence a person’s mood and experience in that space.
