As a team, we decided to choose to present this topic because of the increasing prevalence of prostate cancer in our patient populations. Although we do not plan to have a primary focus on oncology in our current career paths, we found it important to convey an understanding of prostate cancer to our peers because patients with a history of prostate cancer could present in any adult clinical setting.
