High School Holiday Makerspace

We would like to invite any currently enrolled high school student in Paulding County to our Holiday Makerspace workshop!

When: Thursday, December 22, 2022

Time: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Where: The Paulding County Extension Office

The cost for this workshop is $15 per person which can either be paid online or in-person. We will be making cookies, roasted nuts, holiday cards, and other items that participants will be able to take home to give  away to family and friends.

Healthy for the Holidays

Healthy for the Holidays is a fall program focusing on multiple aspects of wellness including physical, mental, and financial. Each session will cover a different topic or have a different activity. Participants will discuss a variety of topics each meeting, as well as set personal goals to focus on throughout the week. Classes are FREE, but optional crafts are $5 per session.

Classes will meet on Wednesdays at 6:30pm for 12 weeks starting on September 28th and will be held at the Paulding County Extension Office located at the Paulding County Fairgrounds. Registration closes on Monday, September 26th.

Money 101

This is a four-part financial series that focuses on setting goals, tracking spending, setting up a budget, and working towards improving your credit. These sessions are free. Participants will need to access Zoom to participate and will receive emailed worksheets. An optional 5th week, participants will receive a Count Your Money Calendar, and will cover how to utilize this awesomely extensive budgeting tool. The cost for this additional class is $10.

Date: On Wednesday May 11th, 18th, 25th, and June 1st (June 8th – Optional)

Beginners Guide to Grant Writing

The Beginner’s Guide to Grant Writing Course will be offered in Paulding County by Ohio State University Extension Community Development Educators Melissa Rupp and Kyle White. In this two-day program you’ll learn what to do before you write a grant, organizational mission and structure, components of a grant proposal, finding and connecting with funders, and writing and finalizing an actual proposal for review. Attendees should come prepared with a grant project idea which they will detail out further during the course.

This course is open to individuals, organizations, non-profit, or anyone with general interest. Attendees must attend both sessions, April 5th, 2022, and May 3rd, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This program will be held in the Youth Leadership Building at 501 Fairground Drive, Paulding, Ohio 45879. Registration is mandatory and limited to the first twelve (12) individuals. The deadline to register is March 25th, 2022. Registration fee is $175 per person. Click the link below to register!
