I am a doctoral candidate in Multilingual Language Education and a graduate teaching associate at Intercultural English Language Programs (IELP) at the Ohio State University with a Fulbright grant. I obtained my Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from Bilkent University and my Bachelor of Arts in English Language Teaching (ELT) from Gazi University. Additionally, I am a holder of the Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (DELTA) from Cambridge University. Before joining OSU, I taught academic English at the college level in Turkey for eight years. Currently, I am a team member of the Graduate Student Interdisciplinary Research Initiative (GSIRI). My areas of research interest include language teacher education, educational sociolinguistics, language ideologies, Global Englishes, and multilingual language education. As a native speaker of Turkish, I am also interested in the maintenance of Turkish as a heritage language.
