Applying

The Application Process

Applying to graduate school will be one of the most intensive projects you have completed to date. To be successful, you must: 1) decide what area you want to study; 2) decide on a career path post-graduation; 3) research programs to find ones that are appropriate for your career goals and your academic progress to date; 4) create and edit your CV and a personal statement; 5) obtain recommendation letters from multiple faculty members; 6) submit all materials prior to the application deadlines; and 7) successfully interview (either in person or over the phone) for an open position.

What if I’m not sure if I’m ready to apply? Please see this article regarding reasons for applying now versus later.
