Larkin Iversen

Lab Supervisor

Larkin Iversen is a post-baccalaureate Research Analyst from La Cañada, California. Larkin graduated from The Ohio State University in 2019 with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Psychology. He is primarily interested in the study of neurodegenerative diseases using neuroimaging, particularly fMRI. Larkin hopes to pursue a PhD in Neuroscience or Psychology to continue to explore his research interests. Outside of work Larkin enjoys shooting hoops, programming passion projects, and playing guitar.

Sydney Englehart

Undergraduate RA

Sydney Englehart graduated from The Ohio State University in 2022 with a degree in Public Health. She is from Powell, Ohio and Sydney is attending medical school starting in fall 2023. She is interested in understanding pain perception in older adults with dementia and has a personal family connection with Alzheimer’s Disease. In undergrad, Sydney was involved in Mount Scholars Leadership Society, Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity, the 52 Million Project, College Mentors for Kids and she is a volunteer at the James Cancer Hospital and Helping Hands Free Clinic. Outside of school Sydney enjoys spending time with family, boating, skiing and she is a proud Buckeye sports fan.


Ted Dimitrov

RA, BS

Ted Dimitrov graduated from the Ohio State University in 2021 with a B.S. in Neuroscience and a minor in Statistics. He is from Columbus, Ohio and is currently attending medical school at the Ohio State University. His personal connections with Alzheimer’s have strengthened his passion to contribute towards a world without Alzheimer’s. During his time as an undergrad, Ted conducted basic research focused on Alzheimer’s genetics and served as president of Buckeyes Against Alzheimer’s, a student club with the mission to spread awareness, promote brain health, and provide service to Alzheimer’s patients. Ted was also a coordinator of the Environment and Natural Resource Scholars program, where he organized activities and led recreation trips across the US. Outside of school, Ted volunteers with the American Red Cross and enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with family, and craftsman projects.


Rachel Romestan

Clinical Research Data Coordinator, BS

Rachel Romestan earned her B.S. in Neuroscience from The Ohio State University in 2022. Her interests include translational health sciences with an emphasis on data management, analysis, and reporting. She is currently applying to graduate school to further develop her technical skills and pivot into data analytics. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys ice skating, learning to program, and playing board games. She is a proud cat mom to her calico, Lizzo, and her tuxedo cat, Hatchback.

 

 


Mira Krishnan

Undergraduate RA, BS

Mira Krishnan is an undergraduate at The Ohio State University with an interest in neurodegenerative diseases and dementia. She is a neuroscience major and public health minor on a pre-med track. Outside of school, Mira is involved in organizations including Buckeyes Against Alzheimer’s, College Mentors for Kids, and the Crisis Textline. She is also a certified nurse aide and cares for individuals with severe Alzheimer’s.
