PAAL members Michelle Crum and Ashleigh Fletcher attended the Caring for the Caregiver Expo in Columbus, Ohio – this annual event provides support and resources to caregivers.


Research Assistant Ted Dimitrov attended the 2022 Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) in San Diego. He presented on pain interference, cognition, and depressive symptoms in Alzheimer’s. Congratulations on presenting at the AAIC!

We are excited to announce that Dr. Todd Monroe has been invited to present at Florida State University’s Research Seminar in the College of Nursing this November. He will be sharing his knowledge and presenting on the topic of Pain in Alzheimer’s Disease.


Congratulations to Larkin Iversen! Larkin just accepted an offer to pursue a master’s degree in translational data analytics at Ohio State. This part-time, interdisciplinary program will allow Larkin to develop a skill set in big data analysis and visualization while continuing his work in the Monroe Lab.




Congratulations to Dr. Karen Moss who was selected and participated in the National Institute on Aging highly competitive 2020 Butler-Williams Scholars Program. This program is designed to offer early career researchers the unique opportunity to gain insight on aging research from a number of perspectives, including grantsmanship, mentorship, and increasing diversity in aging research.
