About Me
My name is Julia Meyer and I am from Croton-on-Hudson, New York, a town just north of New York City. I graduated from Croton-Harmon High School. In high school I was the President of Student-Faculty Congress, the captain of the Girls’ Varsity Swim Team, and the Treasurer of the Concert Band. I have work experience as a math tutor, lifeguard, and swim instructor. My intended major is mathematics and I am also interested in studying history, economics, and political science. I do not know what I would like to do after I graduate from Ohio State, but I am currently thinking about going to graduate school and becoming an actuary, education administrator, or work for the government. I am in the STEM Engagement and Exploration Scholars Program and some other extracurricular activities that I am looking to join include Undergraduate Student Government, Club Swimming, Women in Math and Science, and Actuarial Science Club. During my free time I enjoy reading, hiking, and spending time with my friends and family.
