The idea behind Impact Day is to get people together who are passionate about different issues, and come up with ideas to solve those issues on a global scale. I didn’t particularly know that when I signed up to attend, and filled out a short interest survey. It was an amazing experience to meet other eager students and brainstorm with them about ways to make a global 
impact in a community I care about: the LGBTQ community. It was so cool to think through a problem and do research and come up with a solution, all in one day. Every time I see my APTE coffee mug, it reminds me of all of the meaningful work that was done by just a handful of committed people, and it makes me feel powerful and optimistic.
