Accommodations

Accommodations available for students with disabilities at OSU:

There are several resources available to Ohio State students with disabilities. Undergraduate and graduate students with disabilities can register with the Student Life-Disability Services (SL-DS), which helps students navigate the services available at OSU. Potential accommodations available through SL-DS include (but are not limited to) extended testing times, note-taking services, and sign language interpretation. ADA accessible parking permits are available through CampusParc for those who hold a disability plate or placard issued by the state of Ohio. The paratransit service at Ohio State provides door-to-door transportation for students with short or long-term disabilities. Students requesting short-term use of paratransit (less than a semester) can submit a paratransit services request form signed by a healthcare provider and call (614) 292-6902 to request to be added to the eligibility list. Students who will need this service for longer than a semester can get this accommodation through the OSU’s ADA Coordinator’s office or SL-DS. Any student, with or without disabilities, who is interested in learning more about the disabled community and culture is welcome to join the student organization Buckeyes for Accessibility (B4A).
