About Me

Hi! My name is Rhonda Maynard and this is my ESETEC 2011 ePortfolio. In this ePortfolio, I explore four topics: nutrition, organization, technology, and this course (ESETEC 2011). You can view posts on each topic by clicking the links at the top of the page.

First, a little about me. I grew up in the Columbus, Ohio area, where I have lived most of my life, with the exception of a short period (six years) when I lived in the Boston, Massachusetts area. (Go Red Sox!)

I am an administrative associate in the history department at Ohio State. I love my job!

I am a geek who believes in “life-long learning.” I recently got my “Ham Radio” License (KE8GPA) because you never know when there will be a zombie apocalypse and the only way we can communicate is through radio! Four years ago I became a blackjack dealer just because it was something I had never done before. Right now, I am really into learning all about nutrition.

I am not the richest person I know, but I have certainly worked for some very interesting organizations, such as MIT, the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, and the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. One of my mottoes is “Don’t count the days, make the days count,” and that is what I try to do.

Welcome to my ePortfolio. I look forward to getting to know you!
