Kelly- I agree about the acupuncture! I know some about it from a friend who has done it with her shoulder surgery surgery, but not enough to know what the mechanism is to why it helps, just that she has tried it and helps. I also question would it be a focused acupuncture to just the wrist for example or whole body?

Wil- I agree about the Duloxetine. The correlation between Duloxetine and helping with AI side effects was new to me! I will try to pay more attention when I see that on the med list if they are on an AI or if they are on an AI and don’t have it. Not that I would be the one to add it, but something I could try to help point out to patient and clinic for example as an option.

    Deanna,

I think all your points are great! I wish patients could have better access to acupuncture, both financially and availability wise. We used to have a provider from integrative medicine who would come to the breast center on Fridays for patients to receive acupuncture and it was such a great thing for our patients. Unfortunately, they left OSU, but in my experience, acupuncture has helped many of my patients with a variety of side effects.
