These last few weeks of survey have been really great. I am lucky to have a really good group of students who are very vocal and attentive in class. Last week I finalized my project for my internship, and I am really happy about how it is going so far. I think this system will be extremely helpful this year and in years to come. It is a much better organization of all the peer mentor events attended, and it helps the advisors to have a more streamlined view of the events to grade.
This Thursday I gave my transition challenge for the second time. Transition challenges are a great week in survey because not only do the students learn about different issues coming into college and how to deal with them, it is also a chance for the other mentors to learn about what their peers went through. It is always interesting to me to hear about what they struggled with and how it made them into a better person today.
Soon we will get into scheduling for the spring semester, and I know the students will have tons of questions about how to schedule, what to take, when to take what, etc. I love answering questions like this, so I am looking forward to the scheduling bonanza.
