Wu received his Ph.D degree in physical electronics and optoelectronics from Southeast University, China, in 1994. Before he joined Ohio State, he was a Postdoctoral Research Engineer at Electronics and Telecommunication Research Institute (ETRI), Korea, from 1995 to 1996, a Research Fellow at Microelectronics Center, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, from 1996 to 1998, and a Research Associate at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), from 1998 to 2001. He has been a faculty member at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, The Ohio State University since 2001. His current research interests include high frequency and high power nitride-based semiconductor devices, perovskite semiconductor devices, biosensors, nanobiotechnology, energy storage and thermal management of wide bandgap high power devices.
