Volunteer Facilitators

Weekly Next Chapter Book Club meetings are co-facilitated by volunteers just like you!

The main role of Volunteer Facilitators is to work with their co-facilitator to guide weekly meetings that are safe, supportive, and fun. We provide training and ongoing support and ask for a minimum time commitment of 3 months.

How do I become a Volunteer Facilitator?

  1. Complete and submit the NCBC Volunteer Application.
  1. Participate in a one-hour virtual training with NCBC staff to learn more about the program and club facilitation strategies.
  1. Go to the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities for no-cost fingerprinting. Or if you have been fingerprinted within the past 12 months, you may provide a copy of those results. NCBC staff will provide more info after you submit your application.
