Language acquisition is an interdisciplinary research and teaching emphasis at the Ohio State University. Lacqueys is a group that we formed to promote interconnections among us. We are interested in both first and second language acquisition, and in acquisition of all aspects of language structure, from semantics and syntax to morphology, phonology, and phonetics, across a wide range of learning conditions. We are also interested in the acquisition of pragmatics and of sociolinguistic competence more generally, as well as in the relationship between language acquisition and language change.
Weekly meetings are held 9:00-10:20am on Wednesdays via Zoom. To get the Lacqueys Zoom link, join the mailing list or contact elsner.14@osu.edu.
