School nurses have many roles and wear several different hats in the school setting. An important role for nurses in all settings is health education. Attached is a document that highlights my health education lesson plan for choosing abstinence instruction in the classroom. This lesson meets the Ohio Health Education Standard, the Ohio Revised Code 3313.6011 states “Instruction in venereal disease education emphasizing abstinence.”
