Year in Review

First Year:

One meaningful experience was the Toy Adaptation program and its workshops. It was refreshing to participate in an engineering activity that helped people out. Seeing that you can a make difference with engineering and make families happy was awesome.

My other meaningful experience was simply getting to live the life of a college student. Getting to experience the thrill of Ohio State football games and socializing was fun to be a part of. It was nice to get to live on my own as I have always been a very independent person. Overall I felt like my year was one of progress as I head to the future here at Ohio State!

Second Year:

One of my meaningful experiences my second year at Ohio State was being the captain of the GES flag football team. Organizing a group like that was fun along with just going out and playing football with friends. Even though it wasn’t the most serious event it was awesome to see my leadership skills be utilized as we came in second with a record of 4-1.

My greatest experience at Ohio State occurred my second year when I finally found what I want to do for my career. After taking three classes in the nuclear engineering field, I found it to be the right fit for me. Looking at the potential nuclear energy has and with the fact my hometown is known as “the Atomic City”(Piqua, OH) has led me to want to try and be a spokesperson for nuclear power. Overall, finding the career path and goals you want to achieve in the future has been an exciting experience at Ohio State.
