Since coming to OSU, I have absolutely grown as an individual. I have become a more determined, focused and strong person. I have gained independence and I now rely much less on my parents and peers. I learned that you have to work for what you want, and good grades are not handed to lazy students. To be completely honest, I did not expect college to be this academically and socially difficult. I have absolutely struggled with balancing school work, sleep, health, and friendships. As the semester progressed, it got easier – and I’m still figuring everything out. Coming into college, I expected to work very hard and have fun. Those expectations have definitely been met. My goals for my second year in HSS and at OSU is to continue working hard and learning (both academically and about who I am as an individual). I’m excited to see how my college and HSS experience continues next year!
