Fostering Inclusivity in Arts Administration Education through an Asset-Based Approach: A Case Study of International Students in the U.S.

This study delves into the experiences of international students pursuing arts management education in the United States, where equity, diversity, inclusion, and social justice (EDIJ) are integral components of a field closely intertwined with cultural and social issues.

As our world undergoes digitalization and internationalization, the significance of global citizenship in higher education has heightened. International students, serving as vital contributors, bring diverse cultures and innovative perspectives to U.S. classrooms, fostering collaboration with domestic students. Nevertheless, the unique U.S. education system poses challenges for international students in effectively sharing their perspectives.

This research investigates the barriers hindering active participation in the classroom, aiming to identify opportunities for enhancing their overall experience and establishing a more equitable and inclusive learning environment for all.
