Background Information!

Kent graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology as well as his Master of Science in Exercise and Health Studies from Miami University (OH) where he also ran Track & Field/Cross Country. While at Miami University he worked on various research projects including topics of anticipatory postural adjustments, velocity based resistance training, resistance training and cognitive performance, and aerobic intensity and cognitive performance. His thesis titled, “Effects of an acute bout of high intensity aerobic exercise on cognitive performance in highly-trained, highly-fit athletes” provided experience with the development and conduction of his own population specific graded exercise test and exercise interventions. Data collection specifically including use of the ImPACT, InBody, TrueOne metabolic unit, and Cosmed K5 portable metabolic unit. He also has experience teaching upper level Kinesiology laboratories including Clinical Fitness Assessment and Exercise Prescription, Exercise Physiology, and Biomechanics. Kent is currently a Student of Physical Therapy (SPT) at The Ohio State University.
